KYOTO -- After a long delay due to global circumstances, the Kyoto Art and Culture Award Exhibition is now on at Kyoto Museum through January 24, 2021.
Gallery artist Kondō Takahiro is a 2020 prize recipient. His artworks are exhibited to honor the prize winners who have made great achievements to improve the artistic culture of Kyoto.
When the Chushin Art Encouragement Foundation (Chairman Makoto Shiranase) announced the winners of the 33rd annual Kyoto Art and Culture Award, they said of Kondo Takahiro: "With unique techniques and originality, he has produced a wide range of works and is active both in Japan and overseas."
Other winners include Akane Yamamoto in Kirikane glass and Aiko Miyanaga in Contemporary Art.
For those who can't travel to Kyoto to attend this incredible show in person, we can enjoy this video from Kondō and Hitomi.
