Named after Hayashi Yasuo, a pioneering legend in the field, this honor recognizes a ceramic artist under 40 years old who shows exceptional innovation and creativity in their work, much like the award's namesake.
The prize-winning sculpture by Tanaka Yū titled, tstsumimono, will enter the collection of the Museum of Ceramic Art, Hyogo. It was previously exhibited at the Paramita Museum, Mie in 2022.
