Rising star Tanaka Yū wins the YH Award

We're delighted to announce that gallery artist Tanaka Yū is the winner of the 2022 YH Award granted by the Museum of Ceramic Art, Hyogo, Japan. Named after Hayashi Yasuo, a pioneering legend in the field, this honor recognizes a ceramic artist under 40 years old who shows exceptional innovation and creativity in their work, much like the award's namesake.

The prize-winning sculpture by Tanaka Yū titled, tstsumimono, will enter the collection of the Museum of Ceramic Art, Hyogo. It was previously exhibited at the Paramita Museum, Mie in 2022.

Tanaka Yū was surprised and deeply honored to win such a notable award from an important museum she had frequented since she was a young student. She expressed a desire to continue to create innovative works that live up to this recognition so early in her career.
